Navy gets fourth Scorpene class submarine INS Vela

Project 75

  • Six Scorpene class submarines are being built by Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL), Mumbai under Project 75.

  • The Scorpene class submarines are traditionally diesel-electric locomotives.

  • For this, an agreement was signed in October 2005 with the French Naval Group, which is assisting in the construction of the Scorpene series submarines and necessary technology transfer.

IRCTC to start Bharat Gaurav Trains
